The SoIndustry development environment is all about working with fast-growing Web technology & trends, implementing the latest techniques in web development and product design, and presenting our work & code to the highest standard possible. SoIndustry is looking for a talented Senior Rails Engineer to take charge of the existing Rails codebase, optimize it through intelligent refactoring and performance boosting techniques, and to develop exciting new features on the SoIndustry product roadmap. You'll most likely be fluent in Ruby (if not a another programming language too), the Rails framework, scaling, MySQL, and caching with Memcached. However, a willingness to learn new techniques/tools/languages, in combination with a promising resume, will outweigh the need for years of experience.

- Take charge of the existing codebase and optimise it as the service grows.
- Build a strong code management, development, staging, and deployment workflow with Git version control.
- Make the code base accessible to new team members.
- Qualifications:

- Demonstrable skills in building and maintaining world-class web service infrastructure.
- Excellent programming skills in Ruby and Rails.
- A highly disciplined approach to testing and QA using one of the top Ruby test frameworks (we're running Rspec at the moment).

SoIndustry is looking for highly-motivated Front-End Developer who can maintain and improve the existing front-end architecture, and design/develop/implement exciting new features. You'll most likely be fluent in JavaScript, XHTML/CSS, accessibility, but a willingness to learn new techniques/tools/languages and a great portfolio will outweigh the need for years of experience.
- Responsibilities:

- Write front-end code in HTML/CSS, Javascript (we're using the Prototype library) and Ruby.
- Optimise the existing front-end architecture.
- Help in the design and implementation of new features.
- Qualifications:

- A strong portfolio or background in building front-end architecture for world-class web applications.
- Expert in Javascript/HTML/CSS/Ajax and interaction design principles
- Fluent in web standards, CSS-based design, and cross-browser compatibility
- Highly disciplined approach to testing, quality assurance and documentation
- Experience (or willingness to learn) a front-end testing framework such as Selenium
- Programming skills in Ruby, Java, Python, or PHP
